TWI Certification Ltd’s (TWI Cert) Personnel Certification section is responsible for over 30 different certifications. It is most famous for its CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP schemes, which reinforces its status as a world leader in personnel competence assurance certification. Through these brands TWI Cert provides personnel certification for those seeking employment in a variety of critical disciplines.
However, Personnel Certification is responsible for so much more than just the CSWIP brand.
As the Approved Nominated Body (ANB) for the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) and the International Institute for Welding (IIW), TWI Cert is responsible for the overall delivery and examination of the EWF/IIW Welding Co-ordination Diploma(s).
Its work with training providers and apprentices began in 2019, with the creation of the National Welding Training Standard (NWTS), which provides a methodology to ensure conformity of welder training in the UK. From there, in 2018, TWI Cert was successful in its application to become an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and has since provided End Point Assessments (EPA) to over 170 apprentices in eight different standards.
